MÉDAILLIER FRANÇAIS CÉLÈBRES

XIXth century

The famous French medallist was mainly made by François-Augustin Caunois (1787-1859) engraver in medals. Student of the Ecole des Beaux-Arts, 2nd prize in the Rome competition in 1813. Author of several medals and medallions exhibited at the Salons, from 1819 to 1851.
