Commentary
Type with the larger portrait, probably made by the new engravers who arrived during the short closure of the workshop in 296. Seems to have the same obverse die as the example reproduced in the work of Georges Depeyrot, kept at the Vienna Museum but in a state of conservation too poor to be absolutely certain. Only one other example has come up for sale in the last ten years. It achieved €27,000 excluding fees in 2011 (Auction 89, HD Rauch, December 5, 2011), but with a thin portrait
