Exemplaire sur un flan large et irrégulier bien centré des deux côtés. Beau portrait de Maurice Tibère de frappe un peu faible. Revers bien venu à la frappe. Patine marron foncé

Maurice succeeded his father-in-law Tiberius II. After great victories over the Sassanids, he suffered many setbacks in the Balkans and could not prevent the installation of the Slavs and Avars. A military plot overthrew him in 602. He was assassinated while trying to take refuge with Chosroes II.
