La Galissonière, amiral, vainqueur de Bugny à Minorque. cf.F.11478 les pirates musulmans arabes, basés principalement à Alger infestaient la Méditerranée, attaquant les navires et faisant des descentes sur les cotes pour capturer des chrétiens ensuite vendus comme esclaves.
