Exemplaire de qualité exceptionnelle sur un flan bien centré avec les grènetis visibles. Belle tête d’Ancus Marcius, bien venu à la frappe. Magnifique revers finement détaillé. Très belle patine de médaillier avec des reflets dorés. Conserve l’intégralité de son brillant de frappe et de son coupant d’origine

Lucius Marcius Philippus is monetary triumvir in 56 BC while his father, who bears the same name as him, is consul. He was then tribune of the plebs in 49 BC, praetor in 44 BC and was consul suffect in 38 BC Quintus Marcius Rex, who had the aqueduct that carried his name, is Caesar's great-uncle.
