Obverse legend : ANÉPIGRAPHE.
Obverse description : Tête voilée et légèrement barbue de Marc Antoine à droite entre un vase (capis) et un lituus.


Reverse legend : P. SEPVLLIVS/ MACER.
Reverse description : Cavalier (desultor) galopant à droite, coiffé d’un chapeau conique, tenant un fouet de la main droite et les rênes de la main gauche ; un second cheval est visible à l’arrière plan ; derrière, dans le champ à gauche, une couronne.
Reverse translation : “Publius Sepullius Macer”, (Publius Sepullius Macer).


Poids léger. Contremarque de forme circulaire sur la couronne au revers. Pour ce type, M. Crawford a relevé une estimation de dix coins de droit et de douze coins de revers. C’est l’un des deniers de Marc Antoine les plus rares. C’est la première pièce où figure son portrait, moins d’un mois après la mort de son protecteur et ami, Jules César.
