Exemplaire sur un flan bien centré des deux côtés. Très beaux portraits de Macrin et de Dianduménien. Revers inhabituel. Belle patine marron foncé

Commentary


Sur cet exemplaire, les légendes sont inversées et commence par Macrin à l’exergue et reprend en légende circulaire pour Diaduménien. Semble complètement inédit et non recensé pour ce revers et très rare pour l’ensemble du monnayage de Macrin et de Diaduménien à Marcianopolis.

MACRINUS and DIADUMENIAN

Marcianopolis, located a few kilometers from Osupers was founded by Trajan in honor of his sister Marciane, who died in 113 or 114. Coinage was very important between Commodus and Philip II.
