Exemplaire sur un flan bien centré des deux côtés. Joli droit avec la tête de Gorgone bien visible. Très grand panache du casque. Patine vert foncé

Poids léger. Le Gorgoneion est particulièrement bien venu à la frappe sur cet exemplaire. Petit casque avec grand plumet au revers.

The kingdom of Macedonia experienced a very difficult period after the fall of Demetrius Poliorcetes who was driven out of Macedonia by Lysimachus and Pyrrhus. The two victors shared the spoils of the kingdom of Epigone. After the death of Lysimachus at the battle of Couroupedion in 281 BC, Macedonia finally fell to Antigone Gonatas, the son of Demetrius Poliorcetes who had won a brilliant victory over the Galatians (Gauls) in 277 BC. C. in Lysimachia.
