Exemplaire de qualité exceptionnelle sur un petit flan épais et bombé, parfaitement centré des deux côtés avec le grènetis visible au droit. Portrait magnifique de toute beauté où tous les détails de la chevelure d’Héraklès et de la léonté sont visibles. Revers, finement détaillé, de frappe légèrement tréflée. Magnifique patine grise superficielle avec des reflets dorés. Conserve la plus grande partie de son brillant de frappe et de son coupant d’origine

Coinage in the name and Alexander III the Great type
Philip, son of Philip II and the half-brother of Alexander, was not entirely in his right mind. On the death of the conqueror and faced with the lack of power, in order to maintain the fiction of the unity of the Empire, he was proclaimed king, but in fact he had no power. He was assassinated at the instigation of Olympias, Alexander's mother, in 316 BC.
