Exemplaire sur un petit flan épais, bien centré des deux côtés. Beau portrait d’Héraklès. Frappe brouillée au revers. Patine gris foncé

Commentary


Poids léger. Trace importante de cassure de coin visible sur la poitrine de Zeus au revers. Aucun différent n’est visible sur cet exemplaire. Une autre cassure de coin est perceptible dans la légende.
Lightweight. Significant die breakage visible on Zeus's chest on the reverse. No difference is visible on this example. Another die breakage is visible in the legend.

Coinage in the name and Alexander III the Great type

Philip, son of Philip II and the half-brother of Alexander, was not entirely in his right mind. On the death of the conqueror and faced with the lack of power, in order to maintain the fiction of the unity of the Empire, he was proclaimed king, but in fact he had no power. He was assassinated at the instigation of Olympias, Alexander's mother, in 316 BC.
