Exemplaire sur un flan bien centré des deux côtés. Beau buste idéalisé d’Alexandre le Grand. Frappe un peu molle au revers. Belle patine verte

Obverse description : Buste cuirassé, tête nue d’Alexandre le Grand à droite, vu de trois quarts en avant, les cheveux flottants au vent.

Reverse description : Rome nicéphore assise à gauche sur un trône, casquée et drapée, tenant une victoriola de la main droite tendue et une haste de la main droite, appuyée sur son bouclier.

Commentary

Ce type de bronze est attribué à l’époque des Sévères et plus particulièrement celle d’Alexandre Sévère (222-235). Le type est directement inspiré par le monnayage de Lysimaque (323-281 avant J.-C.). Trou de centrage des deux côtés.
