Reverse description : Écu échancré aux armes des hôpitaux de Lyon parti des armes de la ville, d'une Pieta et d'une mère de famille, couronné et entouré de deux bandeaux inscrits 542 et 1534.

Commentary

Childebert Ier (495-558) est le troisième fils de Clovis. Il reçut le royaume de Paris et participa à l’assassinat de ses neveux dont il partagea l’héritage avec ses frères Clotaire Ier et Théodoric Ier. Il démembra ensuite le royaume de Bourgogne. Il meurt sans héritier en 558, laissant Clotaire Ier seul roi des Francs.
Childebert I (495-558) was the third son of Clovis. He received the Kingdom of Paris and participated in the assassination of his nephews, whose inheritance he shared with his brothers Clotaire I and Theodoric I. He then dismembered the Kingdom of Burgundy. He died without an heir in 558, leaving Clotaire I as sole king of the Franks.
