Historical background

Lycia - Lycia satraps - KRUPLLI

(Fifth century BC)

Kruplli (Kuperlis or Kubernis) Ernest Babelon seems to find its place in the second half of the fifth century BC, more specifically in the last quarter of this century, when Lycia, a member of the Delian League attico-s 'emancipated from the Athenian guardianship. The coinage of this potentate, who also is very poorly known, seems to have been very important and have lasted over time with a variety of types and varieties.
