The exact theme of this 2 Euro is the eightieth anniversary of the appearance of a Grand Ducal monogram on a Luxembourg coin. In 1924, Grand Duchess Charlotte affixed her monogram to the 5 and 10 centime, 1 and 2 franc coins.
