Exemplaire sur un petit flan irrégulier, bien centré avec une partie des grènetis visibles. Joli droit, de frappe un peu molle. Beau revers bien venu à la frappe. Belle patine de médaillier avec des reflets dorés et bleutés

LUCANIA - POSEIDONIA

(Fifth century BC)

Poseidonia was colonized by the Sybarites in the seventh century BC After the destruction of Sybaris by Croton in 510 BC, part of the population fled to Sybaris Poseidonia. The city was finally captured by Leucanians at the end of the fifth century.
