En 1754, Louis XV est agé de 44 ans. Il devient grand-père. La succession au trône semble assurée. Le bébé, né le 23 août n'est autre que le futur Louis XVI qui devient Dauphin à la mort de son père, le 20 décembre 1765 et qui succédera à son grand-père le 10 mai 1774.
