Ce louis est frappé sur un large et légèrement irrégulier laissant apparaître une bonne partie des grènetis extérieurs. Hauts reliefs. Du brillant de frappe est encore largement présent. D’infimes hairlines sont à noter dans les champs

Monnaie n’étant pas retrouvée dans l’ouvrage Monnaies royales françaises et de la Révolution (1610-1794), mais attestée par les archives mentionnant une frappe de 38.082 louis d’or. 89 louis ont été mis en boîte. Monnaies mises en circulation suite à 33 délivrances entre le 8 janvier et le 23 décembre 1721.
