D’après nos recherches aux Archives nationales, 1.108 louis d’or ont été frappés en 1662 à Bayonne et cinq louis ont été mis en boîte. Ces monnaies furent délivrées entre le 10 octobre et le 13 novembre 1662, sous l’exercice de Louis Martin (cœur), commis du fermier général Denis Génisseau. Cette monnaie, signalée d’après les archives dans l’ouvrage Monnaies royales françaises et de la Révolution (1610-1794), n° 33009, p. 261, n’était pas retrouvée.
According to our research at the National Archives, 1,108 gold louis were minted in 1662 in Bayonne and five louis were boxed. These coins were issued between October 10 and November 13, 1662, under the authority of Louis Martin (coeur), clerk of the tax farmer Denis Génisseau. This coin, reported according to the archives in the work Monnaies royales françaises et de la Révolution (1610-1794), n° 33009, p. 261, was not found
