Ce demi-écu est frappé sur un flan large présentant un petit éclatement à 4 heures au droit. Patine grise et léger nettoyage. D’infimes stries d’ajustage au centre du revers

Monnaie signalée d’après les archives dans l’ouvrage Monnaies royales françaises et de la Révolution (1610-1794), n° 33194, mais n’étant pas retrouvée. D’après nos recherches en archives, 44.705 demi-écus ont été mis en circulation suite à huit délivrances entre le 18 juillet et le 13 décembre 1715. Le poids monnayé a été de 2783 marcs 1 once 7 deniers 12 grains. Pour cette production 42 demi-écus ont été mis en boîte. Ces monnaies de 1715 sont particulièrement rares, car peu thésaurisées, elle furent massivement réformées à partir de décembre 1715 au début du règne de Louis XV.
