Ce quart d’écu est frappé sur un flan large et irrégulier. Exemplaire recouvert d’une patine grise hétérogène. Reliefs un peu plus nets au revers qu’au droit

D’après nos recherches inédites aux Archives nationales, l’atelier de Bayonne a frappé en 1649 seulement des quarts (373 en boîte) et des huitièmes d’écu (2 en boîte).
According to our unpublished research at the National Archives, the Bayonne workshop struck only quarter coins (373 in a box) and eighth coins (2 in a box) in 1649.
