Commentary
This type of reverse is usually part of the series of the marriage of the king and queen but also of the Ordinary of Wars because it alludes to the fight against the Turks who were invading Europe. Feuardent recounts that, in 1664, Louis XIV was called for help, in the title of Count of Alsace, land of the Empire, and therefore as a vassal in this capacity of the Emperor. He sent against the Turks six thousand volunteers who fought brilliantly
