Ce double louis d’or est bien frappé sur un flan large et légèrement irrégulier. Hauts reliefs. Infime coup sur la tranche au-dessus du R de REGN. Léger tréflage au niveau du buste du roi

D’après nos recherches inédites aux Archives départementales du Rhône, 146.873 doubles louis ont été frappés à Lyon en 1710, pour un poids de 9.783 marcs 3 onces 17 deniers. Pour cette production 357 exemplaires ont été mis en boîte. Ces monnaies furent mises en circulation suite à 31 délivrances entre le 5 juin et le 21 décembre 1710.
According to our unpublished research at the Rhône Departmental Archives, 146,873 double louis coins were minted in Lyon in 1710, weighing 9,783 marcs 3 ounces 17 deniers. For this production, 357 examples were boxed. These coins were put into circulation following 31 issues between June 5 and December 21, 1710.
