Ce demi-écu est frappé sur un flan assez large et irrégulier. De petites rayures sous le menton du roi. Exemplaire recouvert d’une patine grise de médaillier

Cet exemplaire présente un point sous le M de BENEDICTVM comme de nombreuses monnaies de Bayonne de cette décennie et jusqu’en 1672. D’après nos recherches aux Archives nationales, 44.869 demi-écus pour un poids de 2.516 marcs ont été frappés en 1665 à Bayonne et mis en circulation suite à 12 délivrances entre le 17 janvier et le 23 décembre 1665. Pour cette production, 139 exemplaires ont été mis en boîte.
This example has a dot under the M of BENEDICTVM like many coins from Bayonne from this decade and up to 1672. According to our research at the National Archives, 44,869 half-ecus weighing 2,516 marcs were minted in 1665 in Bayonne and put into circulation following 12 deliveries between January 17 and December 23, 1665. For this production, 139 examples were boxed
