Ce demi-écu est frappé sur un flan large et légèrement irrégulier. Stries d’ajustage sur le buste et sur l’écu de France. Le revers a conservé une partie de son brillant de frappe

D’après nos recherches en archives, 379 marcs d’argent ont été délivrés en 1654 à Limoges en demis, quarts et douzièmes d’écu. Avec une mise en boîte de 3 demi-écus, la production est estimée à 4055 exemplaires. Demi-écus délivrés entre le 1er et le 19 janvier 1654.
