Ce demi-écu est frappé sur un flan assez large et régulier présentant des reliefs plus nets au revers qu’au droit. Patine grise. Le droit présente des rayures, des hairlines ainsi qu’un défaut de flan sous le menton du roi

Commentary
Monnaie signalée d’après les archives dans l’ouvrage Monnaies royales françaises et de la Révolution (1610-1794), mais qui n’était pas retrouvée. D’après nos recherches en archives, ces monnaies furent mises en circulation suite à 11 délivrances entre le 2 janvier et le 31 décembre 1712. 11 demi-écus furent mis en boîte, avec la règle particulière utilisée à Pau d’une pièce mise en boîte par délivrance.
This coin was mentioned in the archives in the work *Royal French Coins and Coins of the Revolution (1610-1794)*, but it had not been located. According to our archival research, these coins were put into circulation following 11 issues between January 2nd and December 31st, 1712. Eleven half-écus were boxed, following the specific rule used in Pau of one coin boxed per issue.
