Louis-Philippe a prêté serment le 9 août 1830 en promettant de respecter la Charte modifiée. Le nombre des députés est porté de 300 à 549 par la loi du 19 avril 1831. Les députés sont élus pour 5 ans. Pour être élu, il faut être âgé de 30 ans au moins.
Louis-Philippe took the oath of office on August 9, 1830, promising to respect the amended Charter. The number of deputies was increased from 300 to 549 by the law of April 19, 1831. Deputies were elected for 5 years. To be elected, one must be at least 30 years old.
