Cette médaille est recouverte d’une très jolie patine de médaillier avec quelques reflets bleus irisés. Très hauts reliefs. Cet exemplaire pourrait être splendide si il ne présentant pas les traces d’un nettoyage ancien. Présence d’hairlines dans les champs

Commentary

Cette médaille en argent de grand module, avec son coffret d’origine, commémore la victoire de Velez-Malaga du 24 août 1704 et a été frappée pour la duchesse d’Orléans dont Louis Alexandre de Bourbon, était son aïeul. D’après Forrer, la frappe se situe autour de 1818.
This large silver medal, with its original case, commemorates the victory of Velez-Malaga on August 24, 1704 and was struck for the Duchess of Orléans, whose grandfather was Louis Alexandre de Bourbon. According to Forrer, the strike was around 1818.
