Thierry II of Luxembourg, 49th Bishop of Metz, was the brother-in-law of Henry II who became King of Germania on the death of Otho III. Henry becomes Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire in 1014 and dies in 1024. After his death, he will be sanctified.
