LORRAINE - HENRY II OF LORRAINE

Henri II dit le Bon (in German Heinrich II. der Gute), born in Nancy on November 8, 1563, died in Nancy on July 31, 1624, was Marquis of Pont-à-Mousson, then Duke of Lorraine and Bar from 1608 to 1624. He was the eldest son of Duke Charles III and Claude of France, and as such hereditary prince of Lorraine (i.e. heir to the duchy).
