LORRAINE - BISHOPRIC OF METZ - LAURENT DE LICHTENBERG (63th bishop)

(1270-1279)

Laurent de Lichtenberg was the 63rd bishop of Metz from 1269 to 1279. He intervened in the conflict between Duke Ferry III of Lorraine and Count Thiébaut II of Bar and took part in the Council of Lyon (1274). In 1275, he made several attempts to repopulate the town of Haboudange.
