Légèrement décentré au droit et au revers. Frappe faible, mais parfaitement identifiable

Obverse description : Tête casquée à gauche, avec des décors perlés sur le casque.

Reverse legend : ANÉPIGRAPHE.
Reverse description : Croix non bouletée, divisée en quatre cantons : globule aux 1er, 2e et 4e cantons ; (hache au 3e canton).
Commentary
Semble de même coin de revers que l’exemplaire n° 282 de l’ouvrage de G. Savès (provenant de sa collection), (pl. XVI). De même coin de revers que les exemplaires MONNAIES XV, n° 291 et 292. Le droit (dont seul les décors du casque subsistent) est de même type que l’exemplaire précédent.

This people who occupied most of the departments of Aude and Hérault is mentioned neither by Ptolemy, nor by Strabo, nor by Caesar. Their coinage is known to us only by the treasures of Béziers (Hérault) discovered in 1871 and which contained between 750 and 800 coins of Languedoc style as well as that of Moussan in the Aude, discovered in 1967 and which contained 28 drachmas of style " Languedocian".
