Drachme bien identifiable mais avec un avers assez décentré. Fine patine grise

Obverse description : Tête à gauche avec la chevelure à deux mèches contournées et perlées en-dessous, cou nu.
Reverse
Reverse legend : ANÉPIGRAPHE.
Reverse description : Croix bouletée au centre, formée de quatre cantons, chacun ornés d’une lunule ; une oreille au 3e canton.
Commentary
Pour ce type S. 312, nous avons déjà proposé 6 exemplaire, dont un seul avait l’oreille vers l’intérieur au 3e canton.

This people who occupied most of the departments of Aude and Hérault is mentioned neither by Ptolemy, nor by Strabo, nor by Caesar. Their coinage is known to us only by the treasures of Béziers (Hérault) discovered in 1871 and which contained between 750 and 800 coins of Languedoc style as well as that of Moussan in the Aude, discovered in 1967 and which contained 28 drachmas of style " Languedocian".
