Flan large et légèrement irrégulier pour cette drachme centrée mais avec une faiblesse de frappe au droit sur la partie inférieure et légèrement décentrée au revers. Fine patine grise

Obverse legend : ANÉPIGRAPHE.
Obverse description : Tête à droite, la chevelure faite d'esses et de globules ; l'œil triangulaire et le nez fortement marqué et deux petits traits pour la bouche.
Reverse
Reverse legend : ANÉPIGRAPHE.
Reverse description : Croix non bouletée divisée en quatre cantons : un globule aux 1er, 2e et 3e cantons ; une demi-rouelle centrée au 4e canton.
Commentary
Cette drachme semble complètement inédite. Le droit ne correspond à rien de connu, pas plus que le revers avec une demi-rouelle dans un des cantons.

This people who occupied most of the departments of Aude and Hérault is mentioned neither by Ptolemy, nor by Strabo, nor by Caesar. Their coinage is known to us only by the treasures of Béziers (Hérault) discovered in 1871 and which contained between 750 and 800 coins of Languedoc style as well as that of Moussan in the Aude, discovered in 1967 and which contained 28 drachmas of style " Languedocian".
