Exemplaire sur un petit flan bien centré des deux côtés. Amphore bien venue à la frappe. Très joli revers de style fin. Belle patine de collection ancienne gris foncé avec des reflets dorés

Commentary
Poids léger. Revers très ornementé avec un cercle constitué de sept globules centré en cœur et d’une étoile avec huit rais et huit demi-rais.

LOCRIS - OPUS
(369-338 BC)
Oponte was the capital of Opontian Locrid. It was said to have been founded by Opous. It was the homeland of Patroclus and Ajax, son of Oileus. The Opontians fought with Leonidas at Thermopylae. The Locrians experienced their greatest expansion from the Peace of Antalcidas in 386 BC. After Philip II's victory at Chaeronea in 338 BC, the Locrians fell under Macedonian rule.
