Victor Cousin (1792-1867) est un philosophe et homme politique français, chef de l'école éclectique, il édita les œuvres de Descartes, traduisit Platon et Proclus, écrivit une Histoire de la philosophie au XVIIIe siècle (1829), Du Vrai, du Beau et du Bien (1853), et plusieurs monographies sur les femmes célèbres du xviie siècle.
Victor Cousin (1792-1867) was a French philosopher and politician, head of the eclectic school, he edited the works of Descartes, translated Plato and Proclus, wrote a History of Philosophy in the 18th Century (1829), On the True, the Beautiful and the Good (1853), and several monographs on famous women of the 17th century
