LIEGE - EPISCOPAL PRINCIPALITY OF LIEGE - VACANT CHAIR

(12/11/1723-1/07/1724)

On November 12, 1723, following the death of Joseph Clement of Bavaria, a new period of vacancy opened. This lasted until July 1, 1724, the date of the election of Georges Louis de Berghes (1724-1743). Since 1688, the Principality of Liège used to mint coins during the holiday period, the holiday period was the occasion for monetary issues in the name of Saint Lambert, patron saint of Liège.
