Ce daldre est frappé sur un flan large et régulier légèrement taché au droit et au revers. Les reliefs sont plus nets au revers qu’au droit. Une légère patine grise de collection recouvre les deux faces de cet exemplaire

Gérard de Groesbeeck, after being appointed coadjutor, succeeded Robert de Berghes who left him the bishopric on April 11, 1564. His episcopate was marked by the passage of many troops due to the civil war which was raging in the Netherlands. He was raised to the rank of cardinal in 1578 and died in 1581..
