Commentary

Ce n’est que le troisième exemplaire de ce rare bronze que nous proposons ; après les n° 879 et 871 de MONNAIES XVIII.
B. Fischer fait très justement remarquer que la légende PVBLICOS correspond à un monnayage public et émet l’hypothèse qu’il y avait des émissions privées.
This is only the third example of this rare bronze that we are offering; after numbers 879 and 871 of MONNAIES XVIII. B. Fischer rightly points out that the legend PVBLICOS corresponds to a public coinage and suggests that there were private issues.
