Commentary
Cet exemplaire, a la particularité de la classe II ; un visage “grossier” traité en grosses mèches de cheveux et un gros œil en amande.

The Leuques are mentioned only once in the Gallic Wars. Their neighbors were the Médiomatriques, the Lingons and the Séquanes. The Leuques as well as the Séquanes and the Lingones provided Caesar with wheat when the Roman army stopped at Vesontio (Besançon) to refuel before facing the Germans of Ariovistus (58 BC).
