Ces deniers se répartissent en deux classes ; le droit de la première est assez fin, avec un traitement relativement naturaliste alors que le droit de la seconde est très stylisé avec un gros œil en amande et un nez terminant le front.

Leuques well as Séquanes and Lingons furnished wheat to Caesar when the Roman army stopped at Vesontio (Besançon) for refueling before facing the Germans of Ariovistus (58 BC). Caesar (Bg. I, 40).
