Commentary
Exemplaire issu du médaillier Franklin qui met à l’honneur un tableau d’Andrea Mantegna; le Saint Sébastien de Vienne : Il est supposé que cette image a été créée après que Mantegna a survécu à la Peste noire à Padoue (1456-1457). Probablement une commande du Podestat de la ville pour célébrer la fin de l'épidémie, elle était terminée avant que l'artiste ne parte pour Mantoue.
Ce tableau est conservé au musée de l’Histoire de l’Art de Vienne en Autriche

Théoriquement, le poinçon crabe est censé indiquer un titrage à 800 millièmes.
