Commentary

Exemplaire issu du médaillier Franklin qui met à l’honneur une peinture à la détrempe et à l’or de Simone Martini et Lippo Memmi, l’Annonciation entre les saints Ansan et Marguerite : Le retable est composé à partir du grand compartiment central avec L'Annonciation, de deux compartiments latéraux avec saint Ansan (à gauche) et une sainte généralement identifiée comme sainte Marguerite ou sainte Massima (à droite) et quatre tondi avec des prophètes dans les cuspides : Jérémie, Ézéchiel, Isaïe et Daniel.

Ce triptyque est conservé à la Galerie des Offices à Florence en Italie.

Théoriquement, le poinçon crabe est censé indiquer un titrage à 800 millièmes.
