Exemplaire issu du médaillier Franklin qui met à l’honneur un tableau de Johannes Vermeer; La Lettre d’amour : Le tableau représente une servante et sa maîtresse dans un intérieur domestique vues à travers une porte située au premier plan. La première vient vraisemblablement d'apporter à la seconde une lettre, que celle-ci tient encore cachetée dans la main droite, alors qu'à gauche elle tient le manche d'un cistre reposant sur ses genoux.

Ce tableau est conservé au Rijksmuseum à Amsterdam aux Pays-Bas.

Théoriquement, le poinçon crabe est censé indiquer un titrage à 800 millièmes.
Copy from the Franklin medalist, which features a painting by Johannes Vermeer; The Love Letter: The painting depicts a servant and her mistress in a domestic interior seen through a door in the foreground. The former has probably just brought the latter a letter, which the latter is still holding sealed in her right hand, while in her left hand she is holding the handle of a cittern resting on her knees.
