Commentary

Ce quart de statère est du même type que celui de MONNAIES 28, n° 581 provenant d’une vente Künker (Allemagne).
L’attribution de cette série est fluctuante entre les Bituriges et les Lémovices.
Alors que la plupart des exemplaires sont unifaces, celui-ci présente une belle petite tête à gauche !
Cette série de quart de statère semble complètement inédite aux ouvrages de référence et manque à tous les catalogues de musées.
This quarter stater is of the same type as that of COINS 28, No. 581 from a Künker sale (Germany). The attribution of this series fluctuates between the Bituriges and the Lemovices. While most examples are uniface, this one has a beautiful little head on the left! This series of quarter staters seems completely unpublished in reference works and is missing from all museum catalogs
