Three symbols at the center: boat / elephant / chakra. The so-called \\\"canoe\\\" coins are one of the most original forms of Tamlungs, traditional currency that circulated in the Mekong Valley between the 14th and 19th centuries. Their name comes from their characteristic shape, reminiscent of a small boat. Unlike other types of Tamlungs, which were generally minted in silver, canoe coins were made of bronze, with a proportion of copper that varied depending on the issue.
