Commentary

Historical background

LANGUEDOC - VISCOUNTCY OF ALBI - ANONYMOUS

(11th century)

Pons, count of Toulouse (1037-1060), by marrying Majore de Carcassonne, gave to his wife for dower the emoluments which he perceived on the manufacture of the species of the town of Albi. This denier is sometimes also attributed to Raymond-Bernard, Viscount of Albi (1074).
