Commentary

L’exemplaire référencé par Corre était certainement dans un état pathétique car le nom même du personnage est mal retranscrit en MONTPERNOVY. Pire, l’orthographe du jeton n’est plus respectée de nos jours où la famille porte le nom de MONTPEYROUX voir http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maison_de_Dyo .
Autre difficulté, cette source donne la famille comme étant de la Dombes et donc de Bourgogne alors que Corre, que nous suivons, la donne au Languedoc.
The copy referenced by Corre was certainly in a pathetic state because the very name of the character is badly transcribed as MONTPERNOVY. Worse, the spelling of the token is no longer respected nowadays where the family bears the name MONTPEYROUX see http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maison_de_Dyo . Another difficulty, this source gives the family as being from Dombes and therefore from Burgundy whereas Corre, whom we follow, gives it as Languedoc
