Commentary
Les États de Languedoc firent construire un nouveau pont adossé au pont du Gard dés 1743 afin d’assurer le passage des piétons et des chariots sur la route entre le Bas-Languedoc et Lyon ou Paris. Il fut terminé en 1746.
