THE LEAGUE. COINAGE IN THE NAME OF HENRY III
(1589-1598)
The Leaguers who opposed the coronation of Henry IV preferred Charles, Cardinal of Bourbon and uncle of the king, but he died a prisoner of his nephew in 1590. Many workshops continued to mint in the name of the late king well after his death. dead.
