KINGDOM OF CYPRUS - HENRY II

(1310-1324)

Cyprus had been conquered by Richard Coeur de Lion, on his way to Acre in 1191. The island was sold to Guy de Lusignan who had lost Jerusalem in 1187. After the recovery of Acre in 1194, Aimery, brother of Guy, inherited Cyprus. The Lusignans were to keep Cyprus until 1473.
